Binance says it has restored backing for about 90% of the $6.3 billion in token assets stolen from its hot wallets; that doesn’t mean it has recovered 90% of the funds from the attacker. Binance said it has partially tapped its Secure Asset Fund for Users, a portion of its Futures insurance fund, and its corporate treasury to replenish the assets. Binance says it remains on track to reopen withdrawals Sunday, subject to security checks and final confirmation. The FBI said late Saturday that it has determined North Korea was responsible for the theft.
