NWS Miami Warns Of Heavy Rain Bands And Street Flooding Across South Florida
NWS Miami says bands of heavy rain moving onshore could cause scattered flooding today through Monday, mainly street flooding, road closures, and limited impacts in flood-prone spots.
A Flood Watch is in effect for the eastern half of South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties) from 10 AM this morning through Monday afternoon. Most areas are expected to see 1-2 inches, with scattered east coast spots picking up 3-5 inches and isolated locations possibly reaching 5-7 inches.
Coastal Flood Advisories and high rip current risks are also still in place along the Atlantic coast. Drive carefully if you’re out, and turn around if you hit flooded roads.
