Iran's Revolutionary Guard Navy says two oil tankers exploded while attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz without PGSA authorization and with their Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) switched off.
According to the IRGC Navy, both vessels struck naval mines, triggering a major fire aboard one of the tankers.
No casualty figures have been released.
