Nine Killed In Greenacres Learjet Crash Near Military Trail

A private Learjet 60 crashed into a residential area in Greenacres around 12:50 p.m. Sunday, killing all nine people on board.

The plane was flying from Austin, Texas to the Bahamas when it plunged near Military Trail and 10th Avenue North, creating a large crater, scattered debris, fires, and damage to nearby infrastructure.

Governor Ron DeSantis joined local officials at a press conference this evening to update the community.

There are no reports of anyone on the ground being killed or injured.

About 600 residents from the adjacent mobile home community are being helped with temporary shelter and essentials while roads stay closed and the investigation continues.

Anyone who saw the crash or has information is asked to call the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office at 561-688-3375.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, the first responders, and everyone impacted in Greenacres tonight.
