United is planning a return to New York JFK after exiting the airport in 2022, initially targeting routes to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).

The airline is seeking up to 20 daily slot pairs, with as many as 7 potentially available through its partnership with JetBlue.

The move would put United back in direct competition with American Airlines and Delta at one of the busiest airports in the United States.
