Growing tensions within Shas following its election defeat have sparked discussions about possible successors to longtime chairman Aryeh Deri, according to Israel Hayom. Three names reportedly being discussed are MK Michael Malchieli, MK Chaim Biton, and former MK Ariel Atias. Shas dropped from 11 seats to just six in Tuesday’s elections, fueling frustration within the party. However, Deri reportedly has no intention of stepping down, and no formal leadership change is underway.
