In a highly unusual move, the IDF reportedly used cellphone location tracking to locate and arrest newlywed yeshiva bochur Yaari Lieberman after an earlier attempt to arrest him failed.

According to the report, IDF officials confirmed that cellphone tracking was used, despite it being an extraordinary measure not normally employed to arrest draft evaders. Police officials said the tracking was carried out by the IDF, not the police, while the IDF Spokesperson's Office declined to comment.
