Dimona Mayor Benny Biton, a political ally of Netanyahu, says the prime minister wants to establish a national unity government and has proposed involving President Trump and President Herzog as guarantors of an agreement with opposition leaders.

Speaking Sunday on Kan Reshet Bet, Biton appealed to Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman and Naftali Bennett to enter negotiations. He did not claim either president had agreed to the proposal and warned against opposition efforts to replace Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.
